WHAT TO EXPECT IN YOUR EYE EXAMINATION?

Eye examinations are about more than just checking up on your vision. During your appointment, we’ll create a detailed picture of your eye health. This involves running tests to assess your visual status, screening for eye conditions and detailed imaging of your eyes to check their health. Your optometrist will also gather information about any medication you are on and your family history of eye conditions to make sure they can accurately recommend any additional testing, treatment or care you might need.

OCT Scanning Machine

THE TECHNOLOGY TO CARE (OCT)

Technology forms a part of every eye examination so it’s important to use the best available. Included in our testing facilities is Optical Coherence Tomography or OCT. OCT scans use a special kind of light to safely examine the backs of your eyes to check for conditions and evaluate macular health. These scans are an important part of a fully comprehensive eye examination. All of our enhanced eye test include OCT.

WHAT IS VISUAL STRESS & HOW CAN COLOUR HELP?

Visual stress refers to a variety of perceptual difficulties people experience while reading. This includes visual distortions in the text and forms of discomfort; over time these symptoms can cause headaches and eye strain. Colorimetry is a way of using coloured lenses and overlays to reduce these symptoms. Many people experience significant relief and can gain much greater ease while reading. We offer colorimetry assessments to help you find out whether colour could help your visual stress.
